again my betting theory holds up BET THE UNDER

I like that the boys showed pride and fought hard for a win even if there were no playoff implications. Good energy and enthusiasm from the players and coaches. If we beat Norfolk state and Monmouth we would probably think much more highly of coach Pete and co

Could a case be made that FAU didn’t deserve to be top-10? Sure. But it’s not a stretch to say they’re a legit top 25.
And here we are at Towson STILL waiting for a signature win under Skerry.
His graduation rate is the best in the CAA! Give him $5 million more dollars

“We have the best FCS town in the country and best campus.“ that’s actually not a bad take name one better fcs town?
-
Wake -4.5
over/under 137
how we feeling about this one? How good is wake this year?
-
At least we have experience playing them under Skerry. They beat us pretty good in the NIT or some tourney
-
Hopefully we can hang tough and not get blown out from start to finish. One win is a good trip for the tigers in Charleston

Went twice and their pizza was very very good. Work right around the corner and woulda liked for that to be my pregame spot. Beer wall was very expensive. They tell you why they closed? Tried to go a week or so ago and it has a closed sign and they were wheeling out the games and other fixtures
It seems it’s impossible to find staff there because it’s all pay to park so it’s hard to justify taking a job making $12 an hour in an area where it costs $2/hour to park

It actually might be perfect bucket hat weather on Saturday. It’s been a hot and sunny November! I got sunburnt at the ravens game last week!
Neo Pizza is still open in Columbia and Owings Mills. I know the owner personally, his sister is a TOWSON ALUMNI so i don’t appreciate your negativity! There pizza and chicken tenders are sensational and the self pour beer wall is something that is for an older crowd not 18 years olds who drink natty lite. Why you hating on someone giving money to towson athletics? Wouldn’t you agree it’s a positive thing to put towson branded bucket hats on 1,000 beautiful co-eds to market the #1 school in md?

We are in BIG TROUBLE. Omg they are gonna be -30 to cover lol

All criticism is warranted. People aren’t gonna come back to a basketball game if crumb bum SAFE security is keeping people out in the cold for 30 minutes to get into the game they just walked 15 minutes to get to! Then to come in TU Arena only to see there is no rim and no Ledo Pizza! That’s pathetic for a D1 University. Go to a UMD Terps game and see how the game-day experience differs.
Dr. E, Pat Skerry, New President Ginsberg, Doc the Tiger, somebody, anybody please make a calculated effort to improve this nonsense that’s been going on for decades

Oh no people are making fun of us on the internet again!

11 minutes ago, TuTigers2012 said:Ok so some takeaways from the game experience yesterday.
Good: new court is nice and clean. New graphics and video features are an upgrade. New PA announcer was good and not over the top (just need better radio/tv now!!) new hoop got out their quickly but no one seemed to measure/level it until AFTER the team came back up and got shots up
Bad: concessions. Only 2 of the 3 stands open. Of that 3 total registers. That’s not enough especially during media time outs and half time, even for our small crowds. The selection for actual food was a gross looking hotdog or Ledo pizza (lol). Not looking for a 5 star meal but there needs to be better options. Prices were random and was charged different than the menu listed (just a bad look). Oh and the pizzas didn’t get delivered to the stall until ~6:40. Band was kind of lame and say a lot. Hate their countdown chants.
Ugly: SAFE. I’m not a safe hater like some here but the crew there last night was awful. Took 10-15 minutes to get 4-5 people through security at 6:10. Nope that can’t happen. The folks with the wand were absolutely nasty (like worse than me after a loss, nasty!). We cannot have a line 75 deep outside for a game with that few people in attendance. They were also yelling at people standing on the concourse that we were blocking concessions and peoples view. Extremely rude to talk to paying customers like that. If you want everyone to sit (and I’m good with that) to make it seem more full. Great. But there’s a way to go about it.
These things may seem little and unimportant but it makes us seem bush league at times
These are extremely important points!
these college kids are sensitive and if they feel disrespected they will never come back. SAFE should be FRIENDLY not AGRESSIVE. College kids are also scared of police for the most part, they don’t want any authority figures in their face bossing them around. Being a greeter, wand waver, ticket collecter should not be a difficult job. Why is it always an incompetent miserable person from SAFE working these towson events?
concessions: DP Dough has been looking for a new manager for a while, restaurant hasn’t been open. I know they were a food partner last year. Definitely could have use the calzones last night to add some variety. Maybe call up “Ice Queens” to have a pop up snowball stand for something different? Chick fil A chicken Sammy’s would be another sensible option.
any person going to a towson sporting event student or not should be celebrated not aggravated. Everyone involved needs to take a hard look at the fan experience and how it can be improved. Parking is always a hassle, we don’t need mean security guards, and incompetent pizza delivery people on top of that. Hard to sell season tickets to such poorly run events.

Bet the UNDER strategy still holds until Tarke gets in there
-
Fanatics sports book will give you +105 for the tigers to win by more than 9.5. That’s looking pretty darn good to me!
@tigerjake I don’t know if you are old enough to gamble but I‘d say bet it on the boys at home today. home opener, back in black w/ the t-shirt giveaway, feeling good off a Coppin win. Money in the bank
hope you have good luck and win the Chick Fil A for a year giveaway on the towson gameday app. Having unlimited chicken sandwiches is a richness most college students will never know.

Interesting opening line of DraftKings -11 and -650 Towson. I think I’m gonna bet the under in just about every game this year -132.5 isn’t even a high number in gambling over/unders but still we are a rock fight looking squad and i can’t imagine Robert Morris can really score at will against our defense if they average 64 a game. I don’t know where Robert Morris is, how many kids go to school there, never seen them play, but I’m sure they suck. Gimme the tigers to cover and let me parlay TU money line AND under 132.5.
where my paper tigers at?? Give me your hot bets that are gonna pay for everyone’s Christmas gifts this year!

Clearly Tarke is unhappy with the way things have played out. Trust the process? For longer? I guess?
charleston got whopped by Duquesne!

We need to be better, again posting a game preview the day after the game has been played

This was some old school skerryball. Ugly, physical, sloppy, turnovers, lots of stopping for free throws (thanks to those awful refs, let the boys play!) missed shots, and lots of second chance opportunities. We are gonna need a lot of points from offensive rebound/put backs if Tarke can’t play. Gonna need that old school identity of defense and rebounding to keep us close with teams that can actually score. Gotta get Dylan Williamson scoring, we need a spark plug guy who can shoot now that Nic Timberlake is ballin with the Jayhawks.
who all is going Saturday? Should we expect a big crowd? Jake get the buzz going on campus

I would imagine Coppin is not very good this year after losing head coach Juan Dixon to the real housewives of Potomac and the assistant coach scandal

wonder if we can stream this one from the Coppin website

Being within 4 at half is respectable, hard to stay in the game when they knock down eight 3 pointers in a row in the 2nd half. Not good that May was the leading rebounder and also had zero points. Excited to see more Dylan Williamson, if he didn’t redshirt last year he might have been a difference maker in the tournament
Does anyone here have any connection to the NCAA or a local news outlet about the Tark situation. This is unacceptable garbage to leave a kid in limbo like this. There is also millions of dollars involved with the NCAA so why do they run their businesses like it’s a Wendy’s in West Baltimore?

Looks like North Texas can shoot 3’s and make their free throws. We can never seem to make our free throws…gimme north Texas in this one!
