He’s be a good three point shooter off the bench with size if you didn’t have needs for two taller wings or a backup big.

35% from three and that’s all he can do?   Maybe if we are set 1-11 but we need better players 3-12 at this point

I didn’t say go get him because we have too many other needs. That would be 44% from three last season on 89 shots. That’s a skill teams are always looking for.

No chance for us but wow would he be a nice scorer to add.

Ugh how much would we have to spend in NIL to get him? He’s going high major

Coming down to the nitty gritty in terms of the May 11 rule though grad students can transfer at any time. Maybe that's why several of our targets are waiting, but they can't wait too long. We need to get them into school for the summer and there are other fish in the sea as more players keep transferring each and every day.

There’s a “window” for the time for players to officially enter the NCAA Basketball transfer portal for the different sports seasons, with winter athletes (basketball), having 60 days to enter after the conclusion of the regular-season/conference tournaments. So for the men and women, the deadline would be May 11th. Anyone who enters during this period will be able to become immediately eligible if it’s their first time transferring. Anyone who enters afterward will have to apply for a waiver, something that isn’t guaranteed by the NCAA. Grad students are exempt from this rule so veterans can move at any time.

This is almost like playing poker. I mean teams have to either commit early to portal transfers, or wait to see who the late entries are (of course, a school can grab a guy early, and then wait until the end to fill other openings). Meanwhile, a player in demand can play the field, except there may come a point where options dwindle because teams have already filled out their rosters.
