wait we are redshirting a senior. I didnt even think that was possible.

I remember the Zags redshirting Kelly Olynyk and I want to say he was a Junior at the time.  You have 5 years to complete 4 seasons once you are on the clock I believe so a redshirt can happen any of the 4 seasons.

The Coleman thing is bizarre to me. He hasn't shown he can play other than practice and where is he going to play next season when Womack comes in? Who knows if Ndefo is a 3 or a 4? I would have hoped that Cole would not redshirt with Conway gone. But I believe this is not just a coach's decision as much as a player's decision.

HOWEVER, look at the wording of the press release. As of today

If somebody gets hurt and we know that's very possible in non-conference play, Cole and Coleman could be serviceable backups. Ndefo might as well just stay out barring a bunch injuries at forward.

Just seems very strange. If the kid can shoot he should be ready to play.  If it’s a players decision then why didn’t he just transfer to some d2?!

coleman probably should have redshirted his first team year, since he wasn’t actually going to or played

Not everyone transfers. Cole might like it here and he's Canadian so if he can't make it at D1, he might go back there.

Coleman is a strange case. He shows pretty damn good athleticism in practice but in games, he looks like the 13th guy who is a borderline walk-on and probably would have been much better at D2. He's really transformed his body more than just about any player I've ever seen at Towson.

Ndefo is understandable. They want him to be a wing but I think if he's 225ish next season, it will be tough since he's already 215 and is built like TJPR in his senior season.

College Basketball in general is gonna be nuts this season.
Last night I watched a Cal Poly team with “4” D2 Colorado Mesa transfers along with their new coach Mike DeGeorge (remember the name once he turns this program around) take USF to school last night.  Luckily the Dons finally pulled away late and won by 8 but they really got exposed in the front court and gave up so many back court layups.
And by the way one of the Dons graduate assistants was at the St Mary’s game on Monday.  “That #15 is really good!”
