The transfer portal is a lot different than it was a decade ago when we added JB, Guthrie and Burwell. Guthrie was an undersized juco small forward and the others received little playing time at Georgetown and USF. I’m not saying we added a JB, but three proven double digit scorers, who can play both ends of the floor and add Holland, if he is healthy. We need our last ship to be a legit big that can defend, rebound and do the little things. We should be a lot better and the bench should be stronger as well. Curious about the three freshmen coming in, but there won’t be a lot of pressure on them to start or play a lot.

Yes it’s a highlight tape but he looks like he plays slow (not in a bad way). Looks like he knows what he’s trying to do and doesn’t force or rush shots/drives/passes. His passing in transition is going to need to change though. We don’t do that when going 3-1 😂😂

For so many years we have started offensive stiff's. Guys that played hard, but could not contribute offensively. Skerry loved these "junk yard dogs," but it held us back. Starters like Eddie Keith, Alex Thomas, Deshaun Morman, Brian Starr, Kris Walden (PK recruit), Victor, Parker-Rivera, McNeil, Tunstall....i could go on, but you get my point, most of these guys were offensive liabilities, but they were "Skerry guys." Look at this line-up and try to find an offensive dud....The top 3 were all-conference guys and Gray had good years w USD. CT is talented and young. He'll benefit from having skill around him. Holland and Gibson off of the bench? Gibson was our 2nd best offensive player last year (in my opinion) and I like him, but he may be the 7th best option with this roster. Finally Skerry and staff appear to be getting it.... I've been fooled by skerry before, but this is the most well rounded and offensively talented squad since his first recruiting class.....

I'm really pumped about this add. Holden also averaged 1.7 steals a game with only 2 turnovers. And at 2 assists a game, he'll be one of our best passers. I really want to see a competent offense next year and with Holden, Nixon, Rizzuto, Gray and a returning CT (and not to mention Holland), we have more offensive firepower than I can remember. Excited that we are FINALLY not solely focusing on athletic ability or brute force and have picked up some talent!

This guy called it coming out of Juco at the end of the video saying he should be Newcomer of the Year. He does play bigger than his 6-5 size. Has very long arms.

Interesting, but I’d still roll with the OVC, with Belmont, EKU, Murray State, Austin Peay ....

Very good get. Congrats on getting him

Great get, especially considering the schools we beat out, which included Wichita, Cincinnati & Arkansas. He played in the Ohio Valley Conference, which I assume is better than the CAA, where he avg’d 15ppg & 8 rpg. Kid is a scorer-2,000 pts in HS, 1,000 points in 2 years of JUCO and 15ppg last season. Gotta give credit where credit is due-helluva job by Skerry and company. It’s intriguing to think about Holden, Rizzuto, Nolan and Holland (if healthy) all playing together this coming season.

So with Cam Holden on board, we now have options G Nolan G Rizzuto F Holden F Gray C Thompson They can play the 6-5 Holden with Nolan, Rizzuto, Holland/Timberlake and CT in a smaller lineup
