mat1992 2,238 Report post Posted November 5, 2017 For those who aren't aware, the new football Early signing date is Dec. 20-22. Also for Jucos mid-year transfers from Dec. 20-Jan. 15. The late date is Feb. 7-April 1. Early signing date for Basketball is Nov. 8, which is this Tuesday. DocMinnegan 9 Report post Posted November 6, 2017 If we are looking to recruiting to be a big boost, why would anyone who is truly an immediate impact player sign early at an FCS school? This new early period for football seems to be more geared towards a top tier player more than an FCS target. I mean really, if a kid was on the edge of being FBS talented why would they sign early with an FCS school if waiting through the early period would give them 5 more weeks of opportunities at a larger program, offering more $ than the partial scholarships that Towson offers? Anyone that would sign early at an FCS school has no other options, so they are not going to be top tier immediate impact players. Share this post Link to post Share on other sites

It's mainly for FBS but it's brand new so we'll see if we'll able to sign legit guys that the MAC/SBC/CUSA/AAC want. They have definitely poached our guys the last few years.
