General MBB 2023-24 thread

This apparently took place in June of 2022 after he arrived on campus. Very serious charge(s). We'll know more on Friday after the court hearing. I'm not going to mention the basketball side of things until tomorrow and how it might affect the program on the floor.

There’s no court hearing Friday; the grand jury has returned an indictment, which cancels out the preliminary hearing. Next will be the setting of a trial date in Circuit Court. Trial date probably won’t be until at least November, at the earliest. Assuming the case goes to trial, it might not be until 2024.

Yup. Awful all around. Those charges are disgusting and reprehensible. Innocent until proven guilty but this puts a major black eye on the program and school regardless of outcome

While it may be cliched, we must all reserve judgment and let the case work it’s way through the judicial process

Awful timing when we have been pushing the GOH initiative and saying how great are athletes are.  One bad apple doesn’t ruin a bunch but makes it tough to raise money going forward.   Hope this turns out to be less worse than it reads.

Should they not ask for money because one athlete may have committed a crime? It’s terrible PR even if he’s innocent, which is certainly possible. Now maybe it’s time to slow down the Goh initiative

jeezus... really dont want to believe it to be true but lets see what the justice system returns. Unfortunate that she had to go through that but I'll reserve judgement for after.

We really can’t have nice things can we? Could have really used his 3 point shooting. Him going to jail certainly throws a wrench in the rotation. Awful stain on the program

at least he has a good lawyer? Pessin Katz is the big towson firm

at least we won in Canada without him?
