He’s facetiously talking about Kentucky, AKA “Big Blue Nation.” Calipiari has taken the head coaching position at Arkansas. Should be interesting when the Razorbacks travel to Lexington to play. Will also be interesting to see who UK hires as their new coach

Smart move by Cal. If he didnt win the title next year they were gonna can him. With UCONN and others he said screw this and left early...lol

UConn likely returns the core of Clingan, Castle, Karaban & Johnson plus have a bunch of current freshman and sophomores. Add more shooters and make a run at a 3 peat which we haven’t seen in 50+ years.

Towson should fire Pat now and hire Luke Murray ASAP but of course won’t happen.

Nah, ESPN predicts most the starters will declare for draft. They still got some young studs and probably reload. Was the UCONN invitational. Men against boys this tournament. Crazy talent and coaching

Just think, Cam Spencer was UCONN's second choice, after being spurned by Timberlake (HAHA).  Things have a way of working out (or you get lucky). Spencer was an X factor all season and was a big piece in this title run. Nick would not have been able to replicate anything similar what Spencer did at UCONN.

Luke Murray would be a really good get for any school with an opening.  Hurley calls him the offensive coordinator of those efficient sets and he had the scout for the Purdue game.

Luke will get a job very shortly though it's tough when your team keeps winning titles and there are no jobs left. But as much as I respect his abilities, I'm pretty sure that offense is mostly Hurley. He's mentioned how he changed his style several years ago.

https://www.foxsports.com/stories/college-basketball/how-dan-hurley-fashioned-uconn-into-an-offensive-juggernaut-and-repeat-title-contender

"Without a high-powered offense and being able to score the ball," Hurley told FOX Sports, "you can't win a six-game tournament."

"Any time you played Danny's teams in the past, you knew you had to win a street fight," said Manhattan head coach John Gallagher, whose team lost to UConn in late November, during an interview with FOX Sports. "Now in the last, I'd say, two to three years, you gotta go into the library and win the debate, too.

"I don't think he gets enough credit for evolving as one of the best coaches in the country."'

Ensuring that every player becomes fundamentally sound is paramount to the success of UConn's new offensive scheme, a motion-based system that leans on passing, cutting and off-ball screening far more than individual dribbling and old-school post-ups. Big men like Donovan Clingan and Samson Johnson are expected to read, screen and pass from the top of the key to clear unnecessary traffic in the lane. Shooters like Tristen Newton, Cam Spencer and Alex Karaban are asked to make expert cuts, clean dribble exchanges and droves of 3s after peeling off screens. Everyone handles the ball in the hunt for high-quality shots.

You can't win a low mid-major three or four-game tournament either.
