back to the AD topic. any idea when they are going to start doing the first set of screening or even just laying out the criteria for the ideal candidate? to 88's point above the new AD needs to focus on that sentiment. It's a pretty tired take IMO. I never viewed Towson as a commuter school growing up in the DC area; I very much doubt all the kids from PA, Jersey and New York do. College park and Mason are suburbs of DC, yet both have athletic success at various levels. the point being there are plenty of schools in major metro areas that still create a connection to campus through athletics. Towson needs to stop trying to be 'Baltimore's this... Baltimore's that..' Realize that Baltimore as a whole isn't going to care and focus on the people who have a connection to the school. Just as a mind shift I'd love for people to start thinking of Towson as Maryland's....(pay a branding agency here - honestly anything but teachers college or affordable... no one likes to be called cheap)

Don't sleep on 2006-2008 when we had Casper, Bushrod and G. Neal. Not sure many mid-majors had 3 pros in all 3 major US sports.

The students were showing up in droves. Then a certain person decided to basically ban tailgating and put cops everywhere because of an accidents. It's never been the same since. Basketball is another story. I guess it's too far a walk.

CAA may be way better than we originally thought?

Are there a lot of CAA posts on the USF message board?😆

Let’s face it, if you’re a TU player with eligibility left, why not explore the portal? The alternative is to stay here under a presumptively lame duck coach on a team coming off a losing season with an unsettled QB situation. And this kid has NFL aspirations, so maybe he gets closer scrutiny at a bigger & better program.

I'll get back on track shortly. But you don't have to win an FCS title to have history. We've only been around 52+ years, went to playoffs at D3, D2 and 1-AA/FCS, Were were fantastic in D3 and D2 thanks to Phil Albert. We've no doubt been erratic in FCS, but we have a pretty proud history if people watched the history of the program a couple of years ago on the 50th anniversary. Not sure why I have to defend either program, because we're all about what happened yesterday or 10 years ago or we haven't won a postseason title in 29 years in basketball. In football, we just aren't Delaware and JMU and will never be, but doesn't mean we can't strive to be. And we won't be in FCS forever. That will change shortly.
