Those teams from the Power 5 that qualify don't care. At least with the automatic bid to teams that do not win their tournament you have schools with players that actually give a $hit. I mean if we had a true round robin still I would say fuck the conference tourneys (I still do). The best team over 18 games and 2 months should be in not the best team over 3/4 days and games. The smaller conferences have to really think about it. Would sending your 28–6 regular season champ have better chance at winning another unit (around $2 million over there 6 years) than the revenue from hosting a conference tournament/tv?
