Grad transfer for next season?

Some guys get better, bigger and stronger after going to prep school. He'd have more of chance to play than most freshmen. Dottin did the same thing. Not saying he's the missing link. Just interesting that he's not a juco combo guard but again, you can't just offer one guy.

As far as freshmen playing, you aren't going to win a lot of games by starting freshmen but they could be in your rotation. They have to be ready physically and mentally. Solid ballhandling skills, poise, defense, etc. Looks like he has the build to play right away, the athleticism and a pretty good shot. Can he defend? Can he handle the ball under duress? Not turn it over? BB IQ? Who knows but it would be nice to have a 6-3 guard who can shoot. Not saying Betrand can't but he appears to be more of a grinder.

I’d really love to add this kids, articles say he can play on both sides of the ball. He def adds a needed piece.

Here is a 6-3 guard we've offered from New England, A prep school kid. Nick Timberlake. Very athletic.

Not too fond of that jumper. Has decent size though...

Funny you mentioned that. I looked at some of his video clips & it looked like he kind of kicks/spreads his legs out when he shoots. But if it goes in, there’s no extra style points

Here is a legit grad transfer, a point guard and he's good. Maybe looking to go to a P5 school though?

said he wants to go to a school that actually has a chance to go to the ncaa and win. doesnt sound like towson :/ BUT with him VERY possible. 37 made fts in a row? God we need that. I miss my boy four sometimes.

Calixte would be our Mike Green, solid player on lousy teams. Good scorer and great FT shooter. Maybe being from Mass gives us an in, with Skerry’s connections up there?

Calixte might be a pipe dream but worth a try. I'm sure will be more names out there after the season is over. He's the best fit that I've seen. Campbell has injury issues and well. I'm guessing Holden doesn't want to go back to the CAA.

According to ESPN we recruited/offered Calixte a scholarship years ago: http://www.espn.com/colleges/basketball/recruiting/school/_/id/119/class/2014/page/offers

Besides, he was the best player on a team that finished near the bottom of the America East at 6-26.  Who's pipe dream would it be if he came to TU?  Us or his?

It wouldn't be his pipe dream. I'm guessing there will be about 50+ schools looking at him and many with a lot higher profile than ours. You don't get that many grad transfers that are that productive but does he want to be a contributor in a big program or a leader on a mid-major desperate for one.

This is exactly the type of player we need. He would put us in the mix next season. Maybe not up top but in the discussion.
