Just interesting that he's not a juco combo guard but again, you can't just offer one guy. As far as freshmen playing, you aren't going to win a lot of games by starting freshmen but they could be in your rotation. They have to be ready physically and mentally. Solid ballhandling skills, poise, defense, etc. Looks like he has the build to play right away, the athleticism and a pretty good shot. Can he defend? Can he handle the ball under duress? Not turn it over? BB IQ? Who knows but it would be nice to have a 6-3 guard who can shoot. Not saying Betrand can't but he appears to be more of a grinder. You don't get that many grad transfers that are that productive but does he want to be a contributor in a big program or a leader on a mid-major desperate for one.
