I’ve been waiting for the right time to post this, think this is the correct time and place. At this level in basketball and football a coach should be here no longer than 5 years. They are either doing a great job and moving up or doing a lousy job and getting canned. The decade of mediocrity we had with both Ambrose and Skerry have done no one any favors and put athletics in a malaise and lead to general apathy about athletics on campus. IMHO the early success that both Ambrose and Skerry had was due to their contacts they had recruiting at a higher level and bringing in top level transfers (plus Terrance West falling in his lap). Once those connections waned they both got comfortable and performance dropped. We need to be known as a “launching pad” for coaches and keep building off of the previous coaches success.

The idea does have a lot of merit. If this were 10 years ago, heck even 5 years ago, I might not have thought as much about it. But this is a new era where you don't build a program with longevity. With the portal and NIL being what it is, it's essentially a free agent world whenever the season ends. AD's will have to be smarter about the way they structure contracts (I've always thought that the immense buyouts given for firing are very irresponsible) and perhaps their philosophies need to evolve where they think more like an owner of a professional team rather than collegiate athletics. In a '5-year world', the coaches will have much more of an urgency to get results rather than biding their time to get 'their guys' in the fold.

This is so much on point in so many ways. As much as it would suck I would LOVE to have to find a new coach every 2, 3, 4 years because of the success they had as a coach at Towson. To habe the longest tenured coach who has not reached 1 NCAA tournament and as we all know has never truly ever been close to even threatening to make the dance. Even the hamster has gets off the wheel and said "That's enough"

You can criticize the program all you want. You can critique the coaches, you can disagree with me on my comments after the game, you can love the team or piss on them because that's what some love to do, but no personal attacks on coaches, players, myself, or any other poster on here or people will start getting banned. Just tired of it. We all can disagree without calling people names. If not, it's time to move on.

I know people at Northeastern and the feeling is Coen has gone pretty stale as well.

10 for 32 on layups? As embarrassing as losing to Hampton is, shooting less than 33% on layups is even worse. My daughter's 7th grade middle school team probably shot better than 33% on layups. Like someone mentioned earlier it is harder than it seems as when you initally think layups you are thinking break away mostly uncontested, but I know a majority of these are defended put backs but still. If they made 50% of their layups (which is still nothing to write home about), they win the game. S.O.T Nope they are ot even deserving of that. I'll just post my thought when I saw the score: "Sigh"

Lol. Plenty of your classmates have blocked me here. Take that as a badge of honor. And, no I’m not either of those. there are plenty of gambling Assholes who comment crap. Block them, fine. Those other posts from actual fans were questioning coaching and execution. That’s an awful look but it’s Towson and Pat no show Skerry. Do we expect anything less???

Good: it was on FloSports so only 14 people total watched this atrocity bad: the towson tigers defense ugly: the towson tigers offense

I just asked Hofstra. They said they still found a way to win.

https://x.com/lean_whittit/status/1758961194117812567?s=46&t=_ArGClX3XZ7EdROrGIJtmw the Twitter account will block accounts that say negative things about the program! Soft!

-Mid Atlantic Christian -FGCU -VA-Lynchburg -Mary Baldwin -Howard -*TOWSON* All of Hampton’s wins this season. An absolutely UNACCEPTABLE loss. No way to spin it. No credit for clawing back into the game. Unacceptable.

Big win today and kind of shocking considering the score. Navy was no joke. 17-5
