Other than having NE in the first round, these are prob the best match-ups for us to advance. Having CofC, Del and Hofstra on the other side of the bracket was ideal. The only way this could have been better was if Elon finished 6th and NE 7th. Although W&M had a good season, I can't help but think that team is all Knight and smoke and mirrors. I believe they are the weakest of the top 5 teams. Whoever gets to the championship game from our side of the bracket is going to get a very tired CofC, Del or Hofstra (all of whom have little depth). I'd like to get payback for the 2014 TU team and knock out W&M in the semis.

We shot 1-11 from 3 in our first meeting with NE. Split the series and I’m very confident we get it done again a week from today. 13-3 since the 0-3 start.. nice job players & staff. PS sounds like a man with a plan in the postgame these days and we couldn’t say that earlier in the season. Our leading scorer shot 11-21 combined in that DC tournament for a total of 37 points. And Fobbs is averaging 19.3 points in our last 3 wins We are gonna be a tough team to beat and win or lose.. get there freshman in a tournament of some sorts. Gibson and Thompson are gonna take us dancing before their careers finish.. Very impressive freshman

On the road victories at Hofstra and Northeastern to finish the conference season on a 12-3 run. Where are all the pitchforks now? People are so quick to reaact and say the sky is falling. I said early on this is one of the most balanced teams Towson has had in a while and was an early fan of Gibson, even though he had many detractors. Of course the cries thst it means nothing if they don't beat NE next Sunday will dominate this thread. That's the nature of the internet. But I say enjoy it for a week and give these kids and the coaching staff credit, for the turnaround.

This 'track record in the CAA Tourney' bit is a bunch of horse hockey and really has zero relevance to this year's edition. I could turn around and say that we won 3 games in 3 days in Ft. Myers two years ago and 2 games in 2 days in Belfast a couple weeks after that. Would that mean anything for this week? Hell no. Different players, different opponents...and hopefully different results. But trying to cite history like that just gives the naysayers their fuel for when things go wrong. You want to live your fandom that way, go for it. But what happened last year or any of the years before that has zero to do with this year's team. Now, what happened 24 hours ago certainly has relevancy and let's hope that we make better adjustments than NE does.

To me, the key next weekend is Betrand coming out of his mini-funk. It's not just that his scoring is off, but he's been flat-footed on defense and just looks out of it sometimes. He can be a difference maker, so the coaches need to work some magic getting him refocused.

For NE...PS, please stop hedging! When you play good on-man defense , you don’t need to hedge. Gut wrenching watching layups and dunks being given up for no reason. Also, run the offense through Sanders . NE has no answer , gonna take a patient team to execute it.

Ok. Bad math by me. It is a good "mix" of vets and youth. Hopefully they can put a complete 40 minutes together. Going against a Bill Coen coached team with a week to prepare for what he just saw first hand in a loss is no small task.

It's crazy to think two of those early losses in the 0-3 run were to Hofstra and NE and we beat them on the road. We manhandled Hofstra. Showed what this team is capable of doing with defense, rebounding, Fobbs, a decent bench and a real point guard that can shoot. I don't know what the future holds for this team. But I do know that they were really good on the road and well, mediocre at home. I do think playing those tough road games and neutral site games have helped in conference play. Hopefully will help in D.C, esp. since we already played there.

Really impressed with how we finished the season. Let’s see a show of hands-how many people had us going 2-0 on this road trip? I know I didn’t. Honestly, I was concerned we’d go 0-2 When we were down by 5 in the 2nd half, we could of folded, but didn’t. That was refreshing. Can’t say enough about Fobbs & Gibson. The latter has turned out to be quite a recruiting coup by PS. Also loved Thompson’s offensive game in the 1st half. I’m hoping he’s one of those guys who improves his game between freshman and sophomore season. A couple of highlight reel blocks by Tunstall & kudos to Sanders for hitting 8 foul shots. Rough game for Betrand. We need him to bounce back starting next Sunday. Soooo, for us, the road to the conference championship game does not go through either C of C or Hofstra, so we got that going for us On to DC
